Rocky Road Ice Cream

Fight the heat this summer from the inside out with this delicious homemade ice cream recipe that is both easy to whip together, and decadently rich.

I´ll never forget my first taste of Rocky Road ice cream. Here's the story.

Recipe.

Ingredients:

¾ c granulated sugar

¾ c cocoa powder

Pinch of Himalayan Sea salt

1 ½ c whole milk

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 c heavy cream

1 c toasted Walnuts

1 c mini marshmallows

2 Tbsp marshmallow cream

Instructions:

In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the sugar, cocoa, salt, milk, and vanilla till dissolved. Add the cream and whisk well. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours. Give your cream a good stir and pour into the prepared machine. Churn according to manufacturer’s instructions. When almost solid, add the walnuts and marshmallows. Add the marshmallow cream without fully incorporating, leaving ribbons of white.
